Heatherwood Luxury Rentals is a family-owned developer with a 70-year history of building and operating luxury rental communities across Long Island and New York City. This commission documented multiple properties simultaneously—from newly constructed Heritage-brand communities to legacy buildings undergoing multi-million-dollar amenity renovations—under a single, cohesive visual brief.
Goal:
The objective was to produce a comprehensive image library that Heatherwood's marketing team could use across leasing, web, and social channels, while maintaining a consistent brand standard across properties of varying age, scale, and character.
Approach:
The assignment called for capturing more than the properties themselves, with an emphasis on the spaces and amenities that help define the experience of each community. I coordinated photography across multiple locations and occupied buildings, working around residents and active amenity spaces while timing exteriors for optimal light. I used portable lighting setups for interiors, allowing me to work efficiently across clubhouses and model units without disrupting residents. The result is a versatile library that gives Heatherwood a range of ways to showcase each community while preserving a consistent brand presence.
